A police pursuit took place in the early hours of Tuesday, September 19, 2023 beginning in Diamond Bar, traveling through Orange County, and then back to the East Los Angeles area. The driver reached speeds of over 100 mph, and thankfully, no police officers were injured during the pursuit.

The collision occurred around 3 a.m. on the northbound I-5 freeway, near Garfield Ave. The Porsche being pursued by police caught fire as the driver and passenger attempted to escape on foot from authorities.

A spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol stated that one of the suspects was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon on an officer, but no further details were shared on that at the time of this post.
